    Her use of the gremlin and the “hero” and other clever analogies made what could have been a boring topic more interesting. Also, showing and owning the mistake she made in her earlier analysis was helpful and offered encouragement to keep trying.

    I would have rated Karen a 10 if I could have! Perfect way to end the day, with a gremlin (that I will never forget) and a perfectly described journey of turning over every rock to find an answer… even if there is no answer.

We automatically, and often unconsciously, use common sense, logic, and even intuition, to identify relevant evidence, problem-solve, and answer complex questions. Learning to harness the power of logic, syllogism, and our own “Spidey-senses,” can help scale brick-walls, solve DNA mysteries, and organize mountains of information. This talk focuses on how to incorporate logic, common sense, and critical thinking in a more deliberate way to create hypotheses, test theories, and support conclusions.
